Frequently asked questions
Fitment, minimum order, quotation time, packing, shipping and what happens if a part does not match. Every answer below is already stated somewhere on this site - this page just collects them in one place, including the diagnosis notes we can defend.

Fitment and identification
How do I know which pump or motor fits my excavator?
Send the machine model and a photo of the pump or motor nameplate. We match them to the catalogue line and confirm the shaft, regulator and control variant (DT, DTP or DTH) before you order. You can also start from the machine list (25 brands, nearly 400 machine models), the model library (34 model pages: 22 verified against the FLUTEK catalogue and 12 published from the manufacturer's own product data, each page naming its source) or the OEM number lookup (212 catalogue numbers).
Which number should I send?
The number stamped on the old part, even if it is a competitor or OEM reference. Our verification page explains how each brand builds its numbers. Every line in our OEM number lookup is transcribed from the FLUTEK catalogue parts tables with its drawing position, so a number plus a photo is usually enough.
Can you identify a part from a photo alone?
Often, yes - especially for castings, valve blocks and shafts. On the home page you can pick a photo and it opens WhatsApp with the enquiry prefilled; attach the same photo there. The number stamped on the part and the nameplate photo make identification certain.
Do you cover machines that are not on your machine list?
The machine library covers 25 excavator brands and close to 400 models, and every one of them links to the FLUTEK units we supply for that tonnage class. If your machine is not listed, send the model and nameplate - the pump family is usually decided by displacement and tonnage class, not by the badge.
Ordering, price and scope
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No minimum on catalogue lines. Single pieces are welcome - most breakdown orders are one pump, one swing assembly or one seal set. Repeat buyers get dealer terms.
How fast do you answer?
Quotation reply within 12 working hours, by WhatsApp, email or the form on the contact page. Send the quantity and the destination port and the quote comes back complete with freight.
Are you the original equipment manufacturer?
No, and we do not claim to be. We are the China general agent for FLUTEK Korean-built hydraulics and supply compatible-brand replacement units and catalogue parts. The scope is written out on the service standards page.
Where do your specifications come from?
Every figure is transcribed from the FLUTEK English catalogue dated 2024-11-25, so the numbers are catalogue values rather than estimates. Where a figure is not published yet, we confirm it in writing with your quotation. Our sources are listed on the references page.
How do we agree price and terms?
You get the price, stock status and lead time together in writing; terms for repeat orders are agreed in the same document. Nothing is charged before the written quotation is confirmed.
Packing, shipping and documents
How do you ship?
Direct dispatch from Guangzhou: express or air freight for breakdowns, sea freight for stock orders. We state the freight option for your port together with the price.
Do you send photos before shipment?
Yes. Parts are matched against the drawing position and photographed before packing, and you receive the packing list with the export documents prepared for customs clearance.
Can I order against a datasheet?
There are 22 model datasheets in the download centre, each gated behind a short verification step. They carry the catalogue values for displacement, pressure, speed and compatible machines.
After delivery
What if the part does not match the machine?
Send photos of the installed part and the machine nameplate. We compare them to the catalogue line, identify where the variant differs and put it right - the process is the one described on the service standards page.
Do you supply swing motors and travel assemblies as well as pumps?
Yes: main pumps (K3V / K5V tandem ranges), swing motor and swing device assemblies (M5X130 / M5X180 with FRG reduction), travel assemblies (FDNB / FTD) and the parts behind them - 212 catalogue part numbers with drawing positions.
Which languages can I use?
English, Russian, Arabic, French, Portuguese and Chinese. The Russian, French, Portuguese and Arabic sections of this site are localised, and WhatsApp replies come in the same language.
Diagnosis notes we can stand behind
The function is slow but the machine still pushes hard - pump or valve?
Speed is flow, force is pressure, and on a piston pump the regulator is what sets the flow. A slow-but-strong function points at the regulator setting, the control spool or a blocked parallel passage; a fast-but-weak function points at a relief setting or an internal leak. Tell us which of the two you have - it decides whether the answer is a regulator, a valve section or a pump.
One function is dead while the rest work - can that still be the pump?
Usually not. In an open-centre system a parallel passage with a load check feeds every spool, so pump flow can reach each section independently. If one section is dead or slow while the others are normal, look at that section's spool, load check and work-port relief first; a worn pump normally shows up on every function and gets worse as the oil warms up.
Why does the boom judder or drop when it is lowered over centre?
Lowering a boom over centre lets gravity pull the rod faster than the pump supplies oil, so the cap end can cavitate. Machines guard against this with anti-cavitation (make-up) check valves and work-port reliefs around that cylinder, so a judder there is a circuit question before it is a failed cylinder. Send the machine model and we will tell you which of those parts your circuit uses.
How clean does the oil have to be, and when do you change it?
Piston pumps are built to closer internal fits than gear or vane pumps, so contamination reaches them first. The field sequence we use is: check the return and pilot filters and the tank breather, take an oil sample, and change the oil when the base oil has degraded or the additive package is depleted - the hour meter alone is a poor guide. Contamination usually shows as spool sticking, pilot-pressure drift and noise long before anything breaks.
Do you publish torque figures, clearances or relief settings?
Only where we have the manufacturer document in front of us. Numbers taken from a video or a forum are not published on this site, because a wrong setting costs a pump or a cylinder. Ask for the figure for your exact unit and we check it against the service document we hold - that is what the document library is for.
Where do these notes come from?
From our own FLUTEK catalogue tables dated 2024-11-25, from the case-drain and cleanliness procedure our own team uses, and from circuit principles we can check against the machines and documents we hold. Sentences we could not check against a catalogue, a manufacturer document or a working machine were left out - including claims that contradict each other, such as the two different oil-temperature limits we found in circulation. What happens after an order is set out on the service and support page.
Where do the field notes on each diagnosis page come from?
Every diagnosis page ends with its own short list, and each line says where it comes from: a principle you can check on the machine, a step from the case-drain and cleanliness procedure we work to, or a figure transcribed from our catalogue. Blog advice, forum numbers and claims that contradict each other are left out - if you want the reasoning behind one of them, ask and we will show you the line in the document. The lists are on the diagnosis guides.
Payment, packing and export documents
How do we pay, and can you work against a letter of credit?
The payment method goes on the written quotation next to the price, before anything is charged - that is how the service standards page describes it. A bank transfer to our company account is the usual route for parts orders; a letter of credit for a full-container sea order is discussed with our bank case by case and confirmed in the same document. We never publish account details on this site and we never ask for payment through a link.
Who pays freight, and how is a single piece packed?
Freight is quoted for your port or door together with the price, so both arrive in one document. Single pieces are packed individually with the drawing position marked, and you get a photo of the packed part before dispatch (the sequence is on service and support); a swing or travel assembly travels in a plywood case. If your own forwarder collects, we hand the goods over against their booking.
Do the documents include a certificate of origin and the HS code?
Yes. The packing list, the invoice and the certificate of origin travel with the goods - that set is described on the service and support page. The HS code is shown on the commercial invoice so your broker can pre-clear before the vessel arrives; if your customs office needs a particular wording or an extra attestation, tell us before dispatch and we state it on the quotation.
What is the warranty, and what happens if the part does not match?
Warranty and replacement terms are written into the quotation for your order rather than published here as a blanket period. If a part does not match, the sequence is the one on the service standards page: send photos of the installed part and the machine nameplate, we compare them with the catalogue line, identify where the variant differs and put it right.
