K3V112DTP and K5V140DTP: what actually differs, and which one your machine needs

Both are swash plate axial piston tandem pumps from the same manufacturer family, and both are widely used on 20-33 t excavators. The differences that matter when ordering are displacement, speed limits, torque capacity and the control variant - the table below uses the catalogue figures for the two most commonly requested models.

How to choose

Match the displacement class

112 vs 140 mL/r is the deciding number for flow: it sets cycle speed and digging force at the same engine speed. Never step down a size to save cost on a machine that works at full duty.

Check the control variant

DTP and DTH carry different regulators. The nameplate suffix, not the machine model, decides what will bolt on and control correctly.

Confirm the flange and shaft

Same series, different shaft options. Send the nameplate photo and we confirm shaft, flange and rotation before dispatch.
