Comparison
Single pump or tandem pump: which one does the machine need?
Both appear in the same catalogue family and share most internal parts. The difference is how many circuits the pump serves and how it is driven - and the order code tells you which one you are looking at.
| Property | K3V112S (single) | K3V112DTP (tandem) |
|---|---|---|
| Displacement | 112 mL/r | 112 mL/r (per pump) |
| Rated pressure | 34.3 MPa | 34.3 MPa |
| Max. speed | 2,700 min⁻¹ | 2,700 min⁻¹ |

How to tell them apart on the machine
Count the outlet ports
A tandem pump has two main outlets and two regulators; a single pump has one, with an optional auxiliary pump at the rear.
Read the order code
S means single, DT means tandem, and DTP adds a PTO. The suffix after the displacement code is what decides the regulator.
Check what the machine controls
Two independently controlled circuits need a tandem pump. Single-circuit machines and industrial open circuits usually do not.
